Growing Ambition

Gardening is an instrument of grace.
-May Sarton

I wanted to show some pictures of my garden, I am so happy with it this year--it is as though this year all the pieces of the puzzle came together into one and it all started to make sense. I have been working away at it for four years now and am finally starting to see the rewards for my effort--wresting flower borders from sod prisons.

And it was worth every bit of the effort!

And here is a link to pictures my dear friend took not too long ago.

very fancy. so many pretty masterbellums! hahahaha. and your rock towers are nice too. Do you have to restack them like every day when the dog kicks them over or do they magically stay up. I'd have this horrible urge to hotglue them together which is why you are the nature-y gardener and I am not. I need to control things and ensure that they don't fall over or apart. Obviously something for me to think about later in therapy.

Have you ever seen the guy that stacks rocks at the Embarcadero in San Diego? You would love him.

The garden is gorgeous.

Thanks you for stopping by my blog Jo. I love having visitors! And thank you for the garden compliment. It has been a lot of work but nothing beats fresh grown fruits and veggies. You have a beautiful garden too! I totally agree with your masculine pepper comment. My hubby’s best friend is the same way! Too funny! BTW, I love your header picture.
